...assignment 2: finale - the sarawak rhino-hornbill...

...after a week or so, its done...well...it looks 'ok-la' on here...but bad news...when i printed it out...seems the beak part is spoiled (the one i meshed)...and the gradient is wrong...the color is poor... T_T ...still figuring it out whether its my mesh fault or the printer...similar thing happen to one of my fren, froggie...she has the 'jelly-frog'...

...owh well, here's my finale for assignment2...after putting the symbol... ^_^

...comments are always welcome...

p/s:...fixed the mesh problem...printing looks superb now...tqs to my fellow classmate, mr.K~!! ^_^ ...not forgetting my FOE mates...froggie and mugen...arigatou...

...assignment 2: eps07 - tree+background...

...after finishing the main part, which is the bird...now comes the background part...the trees...

...for the branch, as usual i gradient it with an angle of 290degrees with different colors...

...as for the bark, is used the same color but made some adjustments to the colors and the degrees...

...as for the background gradient green would be nice...

...assignment 2: eps06 - tail tale...

...for the tail, 1st i color the feathers at the bottom wings by layering them and using different transparencies...

...some lines to show the feathers...

...after arranging the layers altogether...the tail is done...

...assignment 2: eps05 - body...

...now the body...after making the shape, i color the main body with black...

...for the feathers of the bird, i layer each of them with white color but using different transparencies...

...the lines are to show the shape of the wings...

...for the bottom body, i used the same color and gradient as the neck but with different angle...

...assignment 2: eps04 - head+neck completion...

...for the head and the neck, the 'bill' that ive made, ive gradient it with an angle of 122degrees...
...and color the next part...

...and the next one too...

...for the neck, i radial gradient it since not all the bird's fur are yellow-ish...to make the fur more furry, i used crystallize tool and spray a little to get the furry part...but looks more like fur that had an electric shock... T_T

...assignment 2: eps03 - beak...

...for the beak, ive divided them into two parts...upper and lower...

...for the lower part, i used linear gradient with angle of 45degrees (after try-n-error)...to get the blending looks...
...the upper part i used mesh tool to mimic the beak from the reference pic by clicking on to the shape and adjusting the shape that i wish to mesh...

...assignment 2: eps02 - eyes...

...now the coloring part...i did this part by part since its easier n not messy when i started to layer them all...

...each of the circle is gradient-ed using radial gradient and different types of colors to give the eye a realistic look...

...assignment 2: eps01 - start!...

...after weeks wasting doing nothing but thinking, it's time to turn on the engine and start drawing...1st of all i would like to apologize because of the 'reverse-engineering' technique...not because im an FOE student but i got caught up doing this assignment until i forgot to update the blog...

1st of all, i set up all the things before started drawing...rulers and grids and page setup also the appropriate toolbars...

...i put up the reference pic as a template...

...after drawing layer by layer by layer (@_@!) finally im done drawing....

...just to show how many layers ive done for this bird...i think it was 40+ layers...phew...

...assignment 2: pilot - an illustration...

...sorry for not updating this blog for a while...since ive been given this assgmnt 2, i've wasted weeks not doing anything...just hv no idea on wat to do for this assgmnt...research after research ive finally hv an idea on wat to do... -_-''
